I like the Erie and EL diamonds, simple, classic and timeless. Could be used just as easily today as the diamond was used a hundred years ago by Erie. Contrast that to the "worm" logos of Canadian National, etc (very 70's), the cursed NJT Disco Stripes, and a bunch of ugly freight decorating jobs (Solid Gold, etc). I like the old Canadian National with the maple leaf. Same for the LIRR "Dashing Commuter" logo (though dated- man in a hat). D&H did a nice job with their script emblem and paint job. In the 60's, another cool (but dated) logo was "Susie-Q" on the NYS&W boxcars in a plaid flannel shirt and miniskirt. - -----Original Message----- From: erielack-owner_@_lists.elhts.org [mailto:erielack-owner_@_lists.elhts.org]On Behalf Of Njricky2@aol.com Sent: Tuesday, August 02, 2005 12:08 AM To: paultup_@_lucent.com; gobills@ncweb.com; erielack@lists.elhts.org Subject: (erielack) Logos How does everyone think that the logos of EL, Erie and DLW would stack up against logos of fallen flags and current roads.
