In reading the article, I'm particularly disturbed by the comments of the people at the bottom. Apparently, all the "well-to-do" folks in the neighborhood (Glen Ridge is a fairly affluent locale) want to turn the station into something "more appealing" to the community - such as a coffee bar and/or a gelato stand. WHA?!? Get over it, folks. It's a railroad station, and rather historic. Preserve it as a railroad station. If you want your precious mocha lattes, build a stand in the now vacant parking lot across the street. My $0.02, as always. :) - Paul > -----Original Message----- > From: erielack-owner_@_lists.elhts.org > [mailto:erielack-owner_@_lists.elhts.org]On Behalf Of Dlw1el2@aol.com > Sent: Monday, August 01, 2005 8:28 PM > To: erielack_@_lists.railfan.net > Subject: (erielack) Benson St Station > > > I've watched this station deteriorate for 30 years.
