That's actually quite true re: Lionel's Erie FA (even though they never painted their bay-window (modeled after an Erie C301-class hack) in Erie paint - duh?). Their Erie FA was pretty darn accurate for the time in terms of paint job.

The image DOES show that the Erie stock cars made it to at least 1962. When were they sold to the Pennsy?

Ah, I wish I could have been around to hear four 244-powered Alcos storming out of town... <sigh>
