Who is trying to copyright the American Flag, why are they doing it, and how
are they claiming any exclusive rights to it?

All this makes me annoyed, and I think UP is being stupid about this.  But
there is one thing about
this that really makes me see red:  One of those images they're trademarking
is THE AMERICAN FLAG!

They can't do that.  It belongs to US!!
