Re: (erielack) Freight Yard shanty colors???



I'm going to say dark green.

Looking through the David Sweetland book LACKAWANNA RAILROAD in Color, I
see a shanty-type building in Hoboken on the bottom of page 16 painted
green (very dirty, too.)  

On page 17 the side of the engine house in Hoboken was green.

On page 72 a small building in Washington near a semaphore is definitely green.

On page 114 is bad news.  A photo of a crossing shanty in Binghampton is
painted light green with dark green trim.

But on page 125 there is another small shanty in East Buffalo showing
very weathered dark green pain.
