I rode NJT to New York and from Hoboken today. I noticed that the Newark station has slightly different legends on the signs. The older ones, which have the NJT 'disco' stripes, read: NEWARK - BROAD STREET The newer signs along the platforms read: NEWARK BROAD STREET just like the change from Erie-Lackawanna to Erie Lackawanna!!! I also noticed where the elevated siding along the south side of the Westinghouse building left the main line; abutments remain on both sides. Now that I know about the bridge over what is now MLK Boulevard, the concrete in this area makes more sense! Two concrete bumper blocks are also on that side of the railroad. Gary R.
