Re: (erielack) WC Tower What are these?
Photo 1/9 is of batteries. In my experience, these are used for
railroad crossing signals, but they probably had many other uses. The
single battery at the center of the photo appears to be a nickel-iron
battery (the railroad for which I volunteer still had some of these in
service until 3-4 years ago), and the others are either nickel-iron or
nickel-cadmium. They all use water as a coolant.
