The shot showing the Union Terminal is indeed in Jersey City, immediately north of the current Holland Tunnel entrance. I remember that this site was easily visible from trains going into Hoboken. The Union Terminal, later Mecca and Sons Trucking, burned in a stubborn blaze that began on March 22, 2002 and firefighters were on the scene for several days. Scroll down this page for information on the site's history and the fire. http://www.jerseycityhistory.net/breakingnews-6.html I wonder, too, what the whole name is that is painted in the lower left hand corner of the building where it says "COMPANY." The first is a view of what I believe is Erie industrial trackage in Jersey City. The second is a shot of the (DL&W?) Paterson Jct. tower in Paterson, year unknown. - Paul <<erie.jpg>> <<paterson.jpg>> The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List Sponsored by the ELH&TS http://www.elhts.org The Erie Lackawanna Mailing List Sponsored by the ELH&TS http://www.elhts.org ------------------------------
