Thanks, Todd, I think you may be right about the Dover Drill. Maybe this
is a question for Bob Bahrs to confirm.

I would think a local such as the Dover Drill would have worked the local
industries out there. The Dover Drill worked as far west as Port Morris at
times. Not sure about the Cutoff though.

Of note is the fact the Port Morris turn also swapped the units used by the
Dover and Boonton Drills (Roustabouts).

Todd, Chuck and Paul.
I was hesitant to answer Paul's original post, not being 101% sure before CR
of Port Morris Turns. I believe CS9 and PN98 were still running right up
till CR Day, April 1, 1976 but not 100% sure.

As Todd eluded to that term was a Conrail train, which it was. I know Paul
is interested in what happened prior to CR. After CR you had Port Morris
Turns and Easten Turns running almost every day, depending on the year and month
as you went further into CR. Since we are trying to augment this discussion
to a time factor prior to CR I won't say anymore about them.

If I was to guess, any PM turns prior to CR were to handle excessive local
traffic between Croxton and Port M. It was always extremely difficult to get
CS9 and PN98 from Scranton to Croxton with in the hours of service law, and
if you had to recrew it on an excessive basis, you might as well run a PM turn
to relieve it of some of the work. This is based about 60/40 on my own
speculations, and remembered observations, so don't take it as gospel.
