They are one and the same. The old ROW is still visible there, along with one or two buildings which may have been part of the railroad. I'll take a look at the old road next time I'm down there. The Cutoff had a station there til a few years ago. It was in serious disrepair. I'm not sure if CP knocked it down, or if it fell down on its own.
