During the past several days they worked on the washout in the water
gap and today made a run to pick up cars at Slateford. There were
about fifteen empties that were left at Gravel Place that were picked
up by the power on the way down.  (405.3642,2461,645).

  NS recenly has dropped off about 50 loads on the main just west of
the RR crossing in downtown Portland. These cars were NOT picked up by
todays train, they only dropped the 15 empties and picked up the cars
that had been left by NS prior to the flooding. ( 29 cars)

  The power was reveresed on the westward move, and they switched
again westward at Gravel Place. 

  It is unknow when they will come for the remaining loads, and if NS
drops any more off within the next 24 hrs, the possibility remains
that a big PT train will result.
