Subject: My Favorite Historic Place Photo Contest
In honor of Preservation Month (May) 2005, the Indiana Division of Historic
Preservation and Archaeology is sponsoring a photo contest. The entry form is
available on the Division website (www.in.gov/dnr/historic)
My Favorite Historic Place Photo Contest Guidelines
· Photographers must fill out entry form for each photo and attach to
photo (limit of 3 photos per photographer)
· Entries must be received by April 13, 2005 at 12pm
· Subject of image must be in Indiana and be at least 50 years old
· Images can be black and white or color and should be current (taken
within the last 2 years)
· Images must be 8x10 prints, mounted or matted on or with a white
11x14 matt board
· For each image, please submit one unmounted 5x7 print or a CD with
digital image at 300dpi and measuring 5x7
Images become the property of the Department of Natural Resources, Division
of Historic Preservation and Archaeology. Photographs will be judged by a
panel consisting of representatives from the Department of Natural Resources and
other preservationists. Submissions will be judged in 2 categories-12 and
under and age 13 and above. Winning photos will be displayed in the State House
Rotunda during May. Prizes may include a complimentary registration to
Indiana's annual preservation conference (Oct. 20-22, 2005 in Lafayette), gift
certificates to regional restaurants in historic districts, a 1-year membership to
the Indiana State Museum and state fair tickets. Winning images will be
printed in Preserving Indiana (the DHPA's newsletter) and other submittals will be
placed on the Division's website.
