RE: (erielack) New Atlas HO RS3s

The last "Classic" series Atlas EL units that I purchased were the very
nicely done C425 numbered for 2454, 2462 and unnumbered. It certainly makes
for a cleaner process of renumbering and numbering additional units to have
unnumbered units available. There is no worry of marring the maroon paint
behind the number and then having to match the color. Then there is the
question of will your decal numbers match the font/size/color of the models
number? If they don't and the difference is apparent, to do a reasonable
renumbering you would need to remove all the numbers apply the complete
number with decals, after this work you are essential starting with an
unnumbered unit.

Personally I would like to see the RS-3s also available in unnumbered
version

Atlas only releases numbered units as part of its "classic" series, ir would
appear. Unnumbered units are only part of "newer runs" (e.g., H24-66,
H16-44, SD35)

I can't imagine how hard it is to actually remove just the roadnuber,
though?
