Was looking at this last night:
Go to this NY Public Library page:
http://digital.nypl.org/dennis/stereoviews/search.html
search "jersey"
scroll to *Stereoscopic views of ferries, New York Harbor (the URL is
too long to post...)
<images.cfm?rlin=NYPG91%2DF196&title=Stereoscopic%20views%20of%20ferries%2C%20New%20York%20Harbor%2E&classmark=MFY%20Dennis%20Coll%2091%2DF196%2E&catnyp=b2744691>
go to page 4 - the last image is amazing - it's the Paunpeck, which
Baxter and Adams (Railroad Ferries of the Hudson) identify as the oldest
Lackawanna sidewheeler, built in 1882. This image could be from about
that time, when she was still new!
Also, go to *Stereoscopic views of northern New Jersey.:
On the first page, first row, last image - an overhead view of the
Manunka Chunk tunnel
On the second page, first row, second image - Maywood Station
On the second page, second row, first image - a view of the Hoboken
docks looking north, taken from the Lackawanna Terminal clock tower!
Note docked ferry and skylights of the waiting room.
On the second page, second row, second image - for Paul = Stevens Castle!
On the third page, second row, first image - says Hackettstown - anyone
know what this is?
Stereoscopic views of the Delaware Water Gap, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
many interesting images including new, unballasted track
