I'd like to say that the mine shown is on "my" layout, but in actuality it is at the town of Elkins, West Virginia on the Allegheny and Western RR of the West Island Model Railroad club. The layout identification was not included in the printed photo captions. The whole scene is soon to be history as this area of the layout is being rebuilt.
