List--- Concerning the following post of a few days ago--- Eastbound Marion shows train “Plastic Extra” w/ 3623-3622-3626 cab 375, 75/1. Anyone have any insight into “Plastic Extra”? Speculation on my part that the symbol of the train may have been incorrect has proven me wrong. Information has surfaced from Jerry Heckman, former conductor on the EL who worked Meadville to Buffalo. Jerry provided the information that he was assigned to that train as a brakeman with Conductor Schoonmaker and Engineer Jack Fields. The train operated from Meadville to Buffalo as train MF-74 (for crew purposes) and went via River Line. The train was given to the Lehigh Valley in Buffalo as a plastic unit train.
