Subject: (erielack) The mysterious Boeing car...

Hi folks,

	John Durant recently posted this photo to the Railfan.net EL forum:

	http://forums.railfan.net/Images/EL/EL3614.jpg
<http://forums.railfan.net/Images/EL/EL3614.jpg>

	It shows train BH-4 rolling past the "old yard" at the west end of
Boonton, NJ (hence my interest!) What caught my eye, however, is the Boeing
airplane parts car directly behind the power (I assume it's there since it's
a high-and-wide car). Another friend said he got a shot of the same car in a
different train at Great Notch, NJ, so it wasn't a singular occurrence.

	Does anyone know where this car might have been destined?
Apparently, Boeing used these cars to ship parts to its assembly plant in
Seattle, and one theory thrown out was that the car was bringing parts to
the NYC area for contract airplane repair work, but that's just conjecture.
Anyone know for certain?

	- Paul
