It was stucco in the 60's. Apparently at some point in time
earlier, the Erie had a program of upgrading wooden
stations with a covering of lower maintenance stucco. Here
is how the Nyack station and freight house originally
looked:

Chester, NY, is another station that I believe this was
done to.
