I was called to work off the NY Division Erie Lackawanna Oprators Extra Board to go work PO (Port Jervis) Ticket at the time a ticket office and train order office for both the Delaware Div and NY Division. It was late October early November 1974 and the Color of the season was a blaze in the Shawgunk Mt's. I remember it was 3:00 PM and I was being relived by another operator for his shift and I was listening to the local radio station in Middletown, NY providing the play by play of the football game between Port Jervis HS and Middletown, NY. What a treat to here a local high school football game on the radio while working. I was so engrossed with the game I never left work (the office) until the game was over at around 6:00 PM !
