I have seen a few photos showing only one of the two lights on (not on EL units, but other railroads), so it must have happened from time to time. I don't think they had a spare on board, but the idea was that they wouldn't be completely without a light. I assume at the next shop visit, they'd install a new bulb. - Paul ------------------------------
