Hi folks,
Been a bit delayed, but the winners to the contest posted to this list two weeks ago are Schuyler Larrabee and Todd Hollritt (Schuyler, Todd - please E-mail me your snail-mail addresses to where your decals will be sent to)
I've attached the "contest image" - these are EL EMD or Alco diesel numberboard typefaces. Here are the correct answers:
A) early RS2/RS3 (typeface came from the Erie)
B) EMD switchers
C) EMD switchers
D) Alco C424/C425, as delivered
E) Later RS2/RS3
F) Alco FA1
G) Later EMD GP35/SD45 and variants
H) Alco PA1/PA2 and certain RS2/RS3s
I) Most EMD F-units, most former DL&W GP7s, Alco FA2s
J) As-delivered SD45s
K) GP7/9, E8, as-delivered GP35
L) EMD FTs and most F3s
Yes, there are minor exceptions (GP7 1233 was rebuilt with "G", E8 815 later received "G", etc.), but for the most part, these rules held.
- Paul
