RE: (erielack) On Shoemaker, White and preservation



At Steamtown, we have an oral history done in 1994 by our past historian,
Mark Morgan, with Mr. Shoemaker.  We also have a copy of his resume
included, and it does not show NYSME.  Interesting reading though.  We have
a copy in our library if anyone should ever want to see it.

You're right in that PMS's career was Erie, NH then DL&W. He never
mentioned
the NYSME to me, and neither does the NYSME writings that I've seen mention

him.  I'm sure the railroad didn't bug him, but, too, he wasn't nearly as
supportive as White.
