You're right in that PMS's career was Erie, NH then DL&W. He never mentioned 
the NYSME to me, and neither does the NYSME writings that I've seen mention 
him.  I'm sure the railroad didn't bug him, but, too, he wasn't nearly as 
supportive as White.
