That time again... This (well, tomorrow's) month's photo by Curt Carlough (a lister, too!) features a GP35-SD45 combo leading NY-97 west at Otisville on a murky October day. The leaves and the locomotives' paint jobs brighten up the scene considerably, but the depressing removal of the second track here (appears to be a fairly recent occurrence), as well as the missing signals on the signal mast, tone down the brightness, so to speak. In the background is a through plate girder road overpass, which I've seen elsewhere - was this an Erie standard plan overpass? - Paul Paul R.
