And > what would be the point? I would have to agree. I cannot even begin to imagine an Erie Berk on the Susquehanna (even on the portion from Passaic Jct. to Little Ferry). Didn't the Berks exceed some of the bridge loadings on that portion of the NYS&W? The original NYS&W 140 (class N-3) was brought onto NYS&W property by the Erie, and the story as I remember it states that NYS&W management looked at it and said, "Are you kidding me?" Apparently, it was QUITE the chunky Mikado. So the Erie took it back and assigned it to Port Jervis where it served out the rest of its career. I have never seen a photo of a steamer larger than a J-2 class 2-10-0 (and that's small!). The only other steam locomotives I've seen photos of over the course of the years are 4-4-0s, 2-6-0s, 2-8-0s, 4-6-0s, 0-6-0s, 4-4-2s and 4-6-2s.
