Que 1-This is the one car that remained in its original exterior -There were actually five of the 2250-2288 series that never received the turtle roof modernization, and hence, remained in their original configuration There were four more of the 2250-2288 series that did not receive air conditioning until 1952-1954 (and they had bars on the windows). Que 2 *-converted to a Lounge/Diner in 1948? - As in my last post, in 1948 Erie #2996 was already an air conditioned Club car since 1934. It missed the conversions of 1947-48, and was remodeled in 1954 to a lounge-diner. It received its 2-tone Erie Green in 1954, and stayed that way until scrapped.
