battery boxes on the  fireman's side of the unit (note the U36Cs have 3 
handrail stanchions here,  whereas the U34CH's have two)
4. The U34CH's have a plethora of HEP/MU  connectors on both pilots, much 
more than the U36C's.

I think the EL U36's had the little flair at the front of the radiator too?  
I know the 33's did.. ?
