Pat, Nice recollections!!! I remember the last time I saw the 4164 my father and I were taking my young dog for a ride in the car in May of 1994..We saw him go west through Dover on either 1055 or 1061?.... However, The last time I ever saw a U-34CH in revenue service was on September 6, 1994 in Denville when the 4172 and the 4166 made a surprise appearance on a morning Boonton line train! I thought they were all retired by then, but I guess I was wrong! The 4180 did make the last revenue westbound run in August I believe..... Steve ------------------------------
