Hi folks, The recent thread of CR 4014/4022 makes me wonder: Were any EL E-units used in active CR freight service? We know the 4014/4022 (EL 825/833) were used in passenger and executive service, but did any of the other E-units get used in freight service? (notably the ones that were regeared with freight gearing - class PFE-22) It's just odd that the EL was still running its E-units in freight service until the very end, and then CR just dropped the use of them, or so it seemed. - Paul Paul R.
