Dear All, Thank you for your responses--all were very informative and helpful. I have one other question: When/When were E8s 825 and 823 scrapped? I have read on this list that the 823 did not become a donor for an RS3 repowering program, and was out-of-service until the Conrail takeover, though there is no record of it ever becoming CR property. I know the 825 went to CR 4014, and I have seen it was turned back to CR from NJDOT in May of 1980, but the trail goes dead there. Any info would again be great.
