(erielack) Russia Iron

I've been out of commission for a couple of days,
so forgive me for being late. Google gets us
these comments on Russia Iron (or Russian Iron)
about color.

Notice that the reason for using the Russia Iron
shells appears to have a lot to do with the
high-finish shiny surface.

Personally, I think the color used on the MTH
Angus type model is way, way off. Blue, yes,
maybe a hint of it, partly because it was bluish
in any light, but also because of the reflection
of blue skies. And in any case, I kind of doubt
it lasted in that form for any serious length of
time. Dirt, smoke, cinders, and . . . .paint soon
enough. Black paint.
