I did an article which was published in the Extra Board on modifying, painting and lettering one of those. Mine was numbered 7295. These were "kits" which the ERIE assembled at Meadville. There are very good photos of these available in process of construction. Some of those were, IIRC, included in the article. E&P also did, in 1989, a 58' General Steel Industries depressed center car correct for ERIE and EL. The literature in the box (mine's still virgin brass) shows it as ERIE 7268. The series was six, 7260 - 7265 (1948), and five more 7266 - 7270 (1950). It was also correct for NH, LV, D&H, NYC, ATSF, UP, B&O, MKT, MP, SLSF, IC, SAL, SBD, SOO, ICG and C&EI. These others have different variations of roller bearing vs solid bearing trucks as well as other minor variations. E&P's catalog number for the ERIE/EL version was GS 58-101.
