I didn't see a reply to your question, so I'll try to address it now.

It's difficult to discern differences amongst early single chime horns.

Two to consider are:
Details West AH173 "Blat" type
Details West AH174 "Wabco"

I think the Wabco is the longer of the two, and believe the Blat is a 
better match for the ones use on the C424.

Later these same horns were repositioned, with the forward being mounted on 
a bracket, and rearward mounted to the side of the carbody.
