Thanks Schuyler, Paul and Bob for the "dark" humor and for the facts I need. I was leaning towards oxide red but after closer examination of the "color" photos I see it is faded black, just as the wood decking is dark gray faded wood. I put one of the depressed walthers N&W versions together a few years ago, using kato wheel sets and it has been a fun car to use. Will have to get one of your caboose decal sets now Paul.
