To all ELDCPS Members and listers: ELDCPS will shortly be sending out our organizations fall 2003 Update to all our members. We have changed and upgraded our format to more resemble a newsletter, with more photographs, and more detailed information. Included will be reports from ELDCPS President Paul Tupaczewski, Vice-President - Operations John Boehner, and Secretary - Treasurer Tim Stuy. We will be informing our members on progress with Diner 741, and former NKP 10/6 sleeper "City of Lima". Their will be an "in depth" mechanical report on City of Lima, outlining what work has been accomplished, and what needs to be done to complete the car. We can't wait to see City of Lima in NKP blue and white! As City of Lima is not far from completion, we have concentrated more space on this really neat car. Their will also be information provided to our members that will not be posted on our website. Of course, we just didn't form this organization as a museum, and to have this equipment be placed on static display. Plans are being discussed concerning operation of the equipment, and we want to do this as soon as possible. We have no doubt that a GMY thru line EL passenger train will once again operate over the rails of "The Friendly Service Route." Can we count on your support, and will we see you there?
