(erielack) DL&W FT Differentiation

DL&W bought two sets of FTs:
601 - 604 (A-B-A in freight paint scheme) FE13-DD
651 - 654 (A-B in passenger paint scheme) FE13-D

I haven't seen any pictures of FTs pulling passenger trains.  Was this done before the F3s were
bought?  Also, they still had their passenger paint scheme up until the merger.  Why didn't
they repaint the FTs when they were put into freight service?

When delivered, there was a drawbar between the A and B units.  Were these replaced with
couplers by the 1954 timeframe?

Also, what's the difference between FE13-DD and FE13-D?
