Good one! Maybe it is. (Seems to me there was a murder there, actually. As a 
psuedo ghost enthusiast, I'll look into this some more.)

Anyway, as for the mystery water tower, here is what I know so far. According 
to Mrs. Conrad Scheer, who with her husband owns the property through which 
the Cut-Off runs west of new Heller Hill Road at Blairstown (west of the 
Blairstown DL&W depot), there was a water tank on the north side of the 
tracks west of the still-standing concrete farm-road overpass (on the Scheer 
farm property) and the next overpass, which is Cedar Lake Road. All that's 
left are the footings. By the way, the farm overpass was the ORIGINAL Heller 
Hill Road. The current Heller Hill Road overpass is now about a quarter mile 
east. Interestingly, the State (which now owns the Cut-Off and its bridges 
and such) recently placed 11-ton load limit signs on either side of the farm 
road overpass even though it links two halves of a private property.
