Re: (erielack) Scranton roundhouse and turntable



Most Generally stored , out of service locos were set out on two leads by
the large sand tower just north east of the shop building. Steamtown put a
bunch of their larger locomotives there when they moved in. It was on the
opposite side of the building from the turntable. I never saw anything but
in switch engines or road switchers on what few lead tracks were left.  And
they had room for just two units on them.

Is there any picture of the F-units in the Scranton roundhouse?

I thought the turntable and roundhouse sat pretty much in neglect during the
Conrail years.  Does anyone know the last it was used by EL before Steamtown
rebuilt it?
