Re: (erielack) Athearn Genesis F Units

Hey Ted, I briefly owned one of the F3 units in Lehigh Valley, a good deal
on Ebay turned into a wedding present for one of my club buddies. I have
nothing but high marks for these engines, they are very compatible with
Atlas and Kato for multiple lashups, which we did at our last train show in
Philly. We typically run 80-100 car trains and that requires smooth powerful
engines. The genesis units fit the bill and they leave little for the "rivet
counters" out there to detail. We also had a guest run a Santa Fe ABA set
in Savannah last April and we were all drooling, so to me the hardest thing
is NOT buying one of each railroad, they are all just superb. Needless to
say I am waiting for the EL units to hit the shelves.

Happy Rail-Trails,

> Hello listers, Has there been any info and/or "reviews" on the Genesis F
units? I'm mostly interseted in performance, not too much of a rivet
counter. Any info would be helpful. Thanks,
