List,

In Jefferson, Texas near the lignite mines for TU
there is on display Jay Gould’s business car, the
Atalanta. The placard reads build by American Car &
Foundry 1861 and go on to say the Mr. Gould used this
car on other road before the car was taken to Texas by
the Texas & Pacific RR. Was this ever an Erie RR car?
