Dear Fellow Enthuiasts, I can't say how fuel was delivered to the boiler on the bridge, but some years ago I met one of the retired bridge tenders. He told me that the bridge crew ate well at thier post since they could catch fresh crabs and have plenty of steam for cooking them!
