I am so happy that the line is reactivated...
Here is my little story,

Back in 1996, I was dating a girl from Andover, NY and i am from Brooklyn,
NY. 

I always loved trains and when I went from the Big City to the Sticks it was

wild And my girl told me about the trains and the depots in the area, I went

crazy I wanted To know more about the abandoned line that seen in Andover an
d
in Wellsville. I found out it was the EL and my girl told me that you can
walk the tracks (In NYC If you walk the tracks and get caught you can go to
jail and get a heavy ticket to boot)

Well we did walk the tracks and most of the time I had a camera with me, I
have taken Many Pics. (Who know about the Erie Caboose #04972 by a swimming
pool in a homeowner's back yard by Hornell??)

I had a blast and she also started to get into the rail fan seen, so she tol
d
me about Belmont and the jails there, but she also got my very eager to go t
o
Belmont because of the archivist of Allegany County had EL pics and had lots

of info there to see! Well we went there and spoke to the archivist, he had
pics and some good stuff to see but when I asked the Big Question " What are

the chances of the line being reactivated "

He made a gesture and told me very nicely...never!! He went on to say that
the washouts were too extreme and the line would never be used again!!! I
told him it would he thought I was Crazy!!

From 1996 to the present=E2=80=A6.been single for a while in the present and
 still
live in Brooklyn, well you see, the girl came from a small town left to go t
o
school in big NYC so the girl left me, but one thing I always told her that
"
YOU WILL SEE A TRAIN GO THROUGH ANDOVER AGAIN " and now it become a reality.

For my ex and me it would have been 6 yrs on 10/4, but when my ex goes back
home to visit her Family and across the street you hear and feel a train
early morning and when laying in bed rumbling down the line she can always
say he was right and for me my dream came true I did believe that the line
would come alive and she well.... she can never forget about me because ever

train going through Andover NY will have the thought of a city slicker sayin

if you dream and believe he didn't lie about it! What was the past can come
back to life!!

I always hated people who doubted me and say it will never be again! 
Long live the EL Dream!!!
