MainAve1939.jpg:  Only a date on the back of this picture.  If you look 
between the second and third telephone poles you'll see the crossing 
tower for Monroe St.  After the main was pulled up, all that was left 
was a single track to about where the boxcars on the right are sitting 
ot service a meat packing plant.  This meant leaving a signal there.  I 
remember it as a kid in the 60's and into the 70's.

May1956.jpg: Only a date on the picture.  Notice it is the same 
intersection as the parade shot and the 1930's crossing.  It looks like 
Liggett's is now some sort of Mom & Pop store, but I always remember it 
as the Jefferson Bakery.

PasRvrBridge1963.jpg:  Probably a last shot of the area for an article 
just prior to abandonment.
