I'll post more later, but... ELHS Convention went off very well. Friday night's modeling sessions were well-done (all by list members - thanks to Jay Held, Joe Lofland [and wife Janet] and Matt Klemchalk). I was only able to attend Saturday morning, but the sessions were all well-done there, too. (particuarly a good one on the Boonton Line ;) Speaking of Boonton Line, I went out to shoot the steam trips over it on Sunday morning. To help put some context to the cryptic messages about the NYSW #142 here before, the first trip out was led by the Susquehanna steamer. It put on a beautiful show - I caught it storming through Mountain Lakes and West Dover. Of course, the next three trips were all diesel-powered because of a bearing failure on the steam locomotive. <sigh> By the way, a big "hello!" to all the list members I saw at the Convention, and also the ones who I happened to bump into (and meet for the first time) while chasing the steam trips on Sunday! - Paul Paul R.
