3's, which were class RS-1!Re: (erielack) The F5



I remember a Conrail crew of EL(and some of Erie) vintage, in talking about
fuel run-outs, referring to an incident during the early 70s where a train
had run out of fuel on all four units. The train in question had "four
1200s". How they referred to classes like the SD 45s and variation, where
all units were 3600s, I don't know.

EL classes to refer to engines? Or did they use the "official" class? (i.e.,
RS3, GP7)  Or (most likely), just by number? (i.e., "the 1200's")
