Re: (erielack) The New Diamond

Got mine on Saturday. I'm relatively new to the ELHS, and this is my first
DIAMOND, so don't know how this compares to the previous issues. The
magazine looks GREAT!!! I second all the favorable opinions thus far
expressed. I was but a lad-17-when Conrail started, and was living in
Queens, NY at the time, so missed all the Jersey action(I would never have
considered going there-Jersey was a foreign country to many of us on the
east side of the Hudson, and most of us would sooner have gone to Cambodia).
I'm still kicking myself for having never spent the 30 cents(!!!) on the
PATH to go to Hoboken or Newark and see the pre-CR world before it went
under. Reading the DIAMOND was like being there. Great job!! My biggest
regret is that I'm not ten years older-then I might have had something to
contribute.

I got my copy of the Diamond on Saturday. It is very well done. I was
surprised at the new expanded size.
