XX34 H class 2-8-0 H12??
must have been in storage, since the lettering on the tender is the original
lettering, before the Diamond was applied to locomotive tenders

2731 K4
Is also an early shot. It was built in August 1914, so it's later than
>that<, but

2565 K1
Nice photo! Built by Baldwin, August 1908, but reblt 1913. Originally had
Stephenson gear, but clearly, the advantages of the Baker gear were evident
in only 5 years. New cylinders and valve gear at least in the rebuilding.
Early Diamond on the tender. Anybody know when the diamond started being
applied to the tenders? As built, these engines had box tenders, not
Vanderbilts.

2523 K1 Rogers Dec 1905 rblt 1913
Early diamond, new valve gear, replacement tender. See 2565

1880 H22 Harriman Standard Baldwin May 1906

1845 H22 Harriman Standard Baldwin March 1906

1838 H22 Harriman Standard Baldwin March 1906

1776 H21 Rogers March 1906, never rebuilt, scrapped May 1936
In service so before 1936, obviously, and has early diamond. Nice photo.
Rather atypical headlight for Erie.

1632 H21 Rogers May 1904, never rebuilt, scrapped July 1936
Earlier shot, still has original headlight! Certainly your >basic< 2-8-0.

1593 H20 Alco Schenectady January 1904, superheated 1919 to H20b, scrapped
Sept 1941
Appears stored (rods still on), early diamond. Could be in the 30's
depression years.

1540 H17 Rogers March 1902 (one hundred years ago!) scrapped May 1927
Photos of this class are not common, at all. Appears to be coupled to a R2
2-10-2. Early diamond.

2001 H21 Cooke 1907 not rebuilt, scrapped, July 1936
Appears to be pre-diamond lettering on tank. Wish there was a shot of that
single sheathed box!
