RE: (erielack) Undercliff

Paul asked why the town name change from Undercliff to Edgewater, New Jersey.  From what I heard from my step-mother who lived on Undercliff Ave in Undercliff. the town changed the name because the Post Office too often confused the road name to a different town, and delivered mail to those on Undercliff Ave or Boulevard in Palisades Park instead of Undercliff, the town. This was before zip codes, and while Ford still had their manufacturing plant in town.
