I had Paul post a question for me one day last week, since I was at work and
I'm not signed up for the list there, which was:

"When was ERIE 25 rebuilt into a slug?"

There wasn't any answer from the list, but thanks to the web, on this site:

I got the apparently definitive answer:

"December 1950"

There's a link there to a photo of 25 originally, and after being rebuilt
but still in ERIE paint.
