Many older employee timetables have specific instructions on what to do
with dead passengers. Its usually something on the order of either "put
them off at the next station and call the coroner" or "move them off the
track and call the coroner"  Somebody in this group probably has an ETT
covering that area in that time period. I don't have any D&LW on my shelf
or I would look it up myself. I have trouble believing that in the
nineteen thirties the railroad would just dig a hole along the track.
Even a badly damaged unidentified body would probably have been removed
to the local cemetery.
